Germany’s Loreley-Kliniken (Loreley Clinics) are now using distributed enterprise network tools provider Aruba Networks’s 802.11n wireless networks to access EHRs.

Deployed at locations in the cities of Oberwesel and St. Goar, the Loreley system provides wireless access to EHRs hosted on the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company’s Maris System for on-site consultants. The network also provides internet access for clinic patients, Aruba stated. The network is centrally controlled with an Aruba 3600 controller and wireless coverage provided by Aruba 802.11n access points.

The Loreley clinics are part of the hospital GmbH St. Goar-Oberwesel. The clinics include a total of 215 beds, employ approximately 380 people and treat about 4,800 cases per year, Aruba stated.
