Hansen Medical, a Mountain View, Calif.-based developer of medical robotics for positioning, manipulation and control of catheters and catheter-based technologies, has installed its Sensei robotic catheter system and Artisan Control catheter technology at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

The robotic surgery system allows for minimally invasive treatment of heart rhythm disorders, according to the company. The installation represents the second in the United States for the interventional catheter-based procedure technology.
