Hologic Inc. has announced the first sale of its extremity magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system to Savannah Rheumatology Associates of in Georgia. The sale also included a Hologic osteoporosis assessment system.

This install follows the company's announcement that it had obtained the exclusive U.S. distribution rights to a line of extremity MRI imaging systems manufactured by Esaote in Geneva, Italy.
