IBM standardizes service support at Sisters of Mercy
The Sisters of Mercy Health System has chosen IBM to standardize its service support processes in preparation for a seven-state EHR deployment.

The Sisters of Mercy Health System supports 19 acute-care hospitals, providing more than 4,000 licensed beds, two heart hospitals, a managed care subsidiary (Mercy Health Plans), physician practices, outpatient care facilities, home health programs, skilled nursing services and long-term care facilities in Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.

Using IBM's Service Management software and services, Mercy has integrated its technology systems and streamlined its operational processes to support a 24/7 EHR system across network, according to the Armonk, N.Y.-based company.
