IDC wins DR install in time for 2008 Olympics in Beijing
Beijing’s Capital Airport has awarded Imaging Dynamics Company (IDC) a contract for its 1600 X-Series DR system for installation in the Physical Examination Center at Terminal 3 (T3).

The newly completed T3 building is scheduled for a March opening in anticipation of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in August.

The terminal houses the Physical Examination Center, which the airport said was built to meet the emergency healthcare needs of airport passengers.

“After an intense and thorough analysis, we chose the IDC X-Series DR solution because it will provide us with superior image quality, shortened workflow, and the ideal features for an emergency room environment,” said Wang Jun, CEO of the Physical Examination Center. “In addition, we believe the 1600 X-Series will provide the patient throughput we require to handle one of the largest and busiest airports in the world, especially during the upcoming Olympic Games.”

The Calgary, Alberta-based IDC is partnering on this contract with its regional distributor Beijing East Whale Image Technology Company, which provides advanced medical equipment, service and support to healthcare facilities in China.
