IDX Systems gains Imagecast and Groupcast contracts
IDX Systems Corp. has announced several new agreements for its Imagecast and Groupcast technologies.

The company has signed pacts with Radiology and Imaging Specialists (RIS), of Lakeland, Fla.; Sun Health Corp., of Sun City, Ariz.; and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt.

Radiology Imaging Specialists will implement a full IDX RIS/PACS to enhance operational efficiencies for its four medical imaging centers that read approximately 400,000 exams annually.

Sun Health is an integrated delivery network with two main acute care facilities -- the 343-bed Boswell Memorial Hospital and the 296-bed Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital. The IDN also is set to complete a new medical imaging center in June.

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center is a 99-bed community hospital that serves approximately 4,700 inpatient visits and 146,000 outpatient visits annually.

IDX Imagecast PACS will handle enterprise medical image and information management, from registration and scheduling, through scanning, reporting, and image and report distribution.

IDX also inked agreements with Primary Care Health Partners (PCHP), of Shelburne, Vt.; and Regional Diagnostics of Cleveland for the implementation of its Groupcast business performance technology.

PCHP has seven locations in Vermont and two additional locations in upstate New York. PCHP employs 220 clinical and administrative staff including 26 physician partners and serves more than 70,000 patients annually.

PCHP has outpatient imaging and diagnostic centers in 30 locations throughout the Midwest and the eastern United States, as well as imaging centers in northern Ohio, Chicago, Pittsburgh and southern Florida.
