Illinois hospital selects Allscripts for EHR, practice management solutions
Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Ill., has selected the Allscripts EHR and practice management solution for the 45 physicians employed at Rush-Copley.

The medical center has employed Allscripts to enable the hospital’s community of independent physicians to access patient visit documentation and other hospital information electronically, in real-time, from their offices or remotely through the internet, according to the Chicago-based company.

Allscripts said its clients receive alerts when their patients visit the Rush-Copley emergency room or are admitted to the hospital, and receive a record of what happened to their patients while they are in the hospital.

Rush-Copley, a 183-bed hospital, offers extensive inpatient and outpatient care, a level II trauma center, a comprehensive cancer center, a level III neonatal intensive care unit and progressive medical technology.
