The roles of advanced practice providers (APPs), primarily nurse practitioners and physicians' assistants, are expanding in the area of nonvascular invasive radiology procedures. A recent study published in the March 2015 issue of the Journal of the College of Radiology analyzed national trends in the increased roles of APPs, the results of which are presented in the infographic below.
