Las Vegas heart center installs GE PET system
Nevada Heart and Vascular Center in Las Vegas is now offering PET for patients who require cardiac stress testing.
"Early detection of heart disease is a critical component in saving patients' lives," said William F. Resh, MD, a cardiologist at Nevada Heart. "PET imaging is much more effective at detecting cardiac disease and will make a dramatic difference in our ability to treat patients before their conditions become severe." He added that PET has a 95 percent accuracy rate in identifying early stages of heart disease.
The facility installed GE Healthcare’s PET Advance NXI.
