Allscripts announced this week that Danbury Hospital has selected HealthMatics ED Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) to improve the quality of patient care and hospital staff workflow. HealthMatics ED, one of the systems added to Allscripts existing portfolio after the recent acquisition of A4 Health Systems, is designed to enhance the efficiency of patient care in the emergency department, which is the hospital's first major area to implement the full electronic health record.

Elekta will deliver its Neuromag, for non-invasive registration of nerve cell activity using magnetoencephalography (MEG) technology, to the centre for research in cognitive neuroscience, the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (MRC CBU) in Cambridge, U.K.  

Evolved Digital Systems Inc. and Alliant Purchasing, LLC announced this week they have signed an agreement to extend their exclusive relationship with an additional five years deal.
