London hospital installs Siemens SPECT/CT system
The Royal London Hospital in London, part of the Barts and The London NHS Trust, has installed a Siemens Symbia TruePoint SPECT/CT.

The hybrid system combines a dual-detector variable angle gamma camera with a dual slice CT scanner for detailed localization and diagnostic imaging, according to Siemens. The system can also be used for diagnosis and routine CT applications in cardiology, oncology, rheumatology and neurology, the company said.

The Royal London, along with its two sister London hospitals, cater to 778,000 patients annually.
