Lumedx, Philips partner for ultrasound imaging solution
Lumedx, cardiovascular information systems developer, has integrated Philips Healthcare QLAB advanced 2D and 3D ultrasound quantification tools into its CardioPACS imaging solution for better diagnostic accuracy.

According to the Oakland, Calif.-based company, the CardioPACS QLAB application can be launched directly from the image while at the same time performing image review and reporting, making the diagnostic process more efficient.

In addition, the interface allows for more patient exams and eliminates the need for images to be sent to stand-alone workstations for quantification.

The QLAB version 8.1 CardioPACS will be available beginning April 2010, according to Lumedx.
