Lutheran Hospital adopts TeraMedica information Manager
TeraMedica has inked an agreement through which Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind., will purchase and install TeraMedica's Evercore clinical information manager with EMC Centera content addressed storage (CAS). Lutheran Hospital is a part of the Lutheran Health Network (LHN), an integrated health care delivery system in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio made up of eight hospitals and more than 6,000 associates, TeraMedica said.

The initial Evercore roll-out within the Lutheran Health Network will include its 361-bed flagship facility, according to Lutheran Health Network Vice President and CIO Sid Tuesley.

Evercore facilitates the electronic medical record (EMR) by connecting data to images, making them available throughout a healthcare enterprise. The system uses new, non-proprietary WADOWeb Enterprise Web Distribution technology.

Together, Evercore and EMC Centera will provide Lutheran Hospital with the capability to gain control and improve management of their imaging and information enterprise, TeraMedica said.
