Miami hospital taps Philips for enterprise clinical info management
Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF) in Miami has selected Philips Healthcare to deliver radiology and cardiovascular information management and enterprise imaging systems.

BHSF has teamed with Philips for cardiovascular and radiology informatics services to span its six hospitals and more than 18 outpatient locations. Philips Xcelera cardiovascular image and information management is used to help clinicians manage data in non-invasive echo/vascular labs.

Other newly installed Philips systems include Xper Information Management with Flex Cardio to manage vital signs acquisition, measurement and physician reporting for the Cath, EP, IR and vascular invasive labs across the Baptist enterprise and Philips CVIS, a single repository for patients’ cardiac and vascular information throughout the health system.

BHSF also signed a multi-year service contract to complement the cardiovascular informatics purchase and chose to upgrade its existing Philips PACS, EasyAccess, with Philips IntelliSpace PACS. With connectivity to Xcelera, IntelliSpace PACS will provide access to radiology and cardiovascular images within the Baptist Health System.
