Moffitt Cancer Center lays Oracle health IT foundation
Moffitt Cancer Center, a Tampa, Fla.-based National Cancer Institute (NCI) cancer center and translational research center, has selected Oracle Health Sciences tools for its health and research informatics platform.
The informatics environment will support Moffitt’s Total Cancer Care program by delivering system analysis by securely synthesizing data from numerous clinical sources, a biobank and patient-reported information, according to Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Oracle.
By standardizing on the Oracle Healthcare Data Warehouse Foundation data model and using Oracle software, Moffitt can normalize, aggregate and analyze data from internal and external sources to identify predictive biomarkers, treatment best practices and therapies for individual patients, the company added.
