Mecklenburg Radiology Associates, a 31-radiologist group for a range of specialty practices in Charlotte, N.C., has chosen Neurostar’s virtual radiology network (VRN) for the communication of images from offsite locations.

The Atlanta-based Neurostar said the radiology group has one centrally-located imaging center, but interprets exams for six medical practices.

Neurostar said its VRN pulls images from existing imaging modalities and PACS at multiple locations through an integrated network of on- and off-site servers and makes them available to authorized users through integrated worklists, streamlining image access and management.
