Nebraska Methodist Hospital chooses Elekta Synergy
Nebraska Methodist Hospital recently ordered an Elekta Synergy platform, one component of the facility's $13.5 million expansion of its oncology and neurosurgery programs.

The technology will enable doctors at the Omaha facility to obtain images of patients before their treatment, allowing them to visualize tumors at the point of treatment to more precisely target tumors with radiation beams.

Elekta Synergy is a linear accelerator-based system designed for image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), which guides radiation delivery to a tumor, while sparing healthy tissues.

Elekta currently is taking orders for and installing Elekta Synergy linear accelerators at cancer clinics in the United States and Europe.
