Eclipsys Corp. recently announced that Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, N.J. has purchased of the company's Sunrise RIS, Sunrise PACS, as well as the Sunrise Clinical Manager software and outsourcing services, the company said.

Trinitas is in the process of migrating from the heritage Eclipsys 7000 system to Sunrise Clinical Manager, with the installation planned for an early 2006 completion. The hospital will use Sunrise PACS to connect radiology and other specialized diagnostic imaging capabilities such as cardiology, mammography and endoscopy throughout the organization.

Since March 2002, Trinitas has outsourced its information technology operations to Eclipsys and applications are remotely hosted at the Eclipsys Technology Solutions Center in Mountain Lakes, N.J.

The hospital has also committed to replace an existing financial system from another vendor with the Eclipsys Sunrise Access/Patient Financial Manager at a later date.
