New York Hospital to deploy Eclipsys' clinical manager
Eclipsys Corp. this week announced that New York Hospital Queens will deploy the Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager which includes critical care advanced software.

The 439-bed hospital expects the benefits of deployment to be improved workflow and care quality, with cost reduction due to computerized physician order entry (CPOE), results reporting and a single, secure electronic medical record, Eclipsys said.

The installation is a replacement of the currently installed Eclipsys' heritage critical care information system. The deployment is scheduled to start within weeks and includes six of the hospital's units, totaling close to 100 beds.

Key features of the Sunrise Clinical Manager with Critical Care are the ability to automate clinical documentation, device interfacing, clinical decision support and starter set content, an award-winning CPOE system, options for order management, Knowledge-Based Charting capabilities, and a scalable architecture, Eclipsys said.
