Ohio hospital selects McKesson for IV automation
Riverside Methodist Hospital, part of OhioHealth, plans to implement the McKesson’s CytoCare robot for IV automation.

The new technology will enable Riverside Methodist Hospital, an 800-bed facility in Columbus, Ohio, to handle growth within its cancer services department, according to Atlanta-based McKesson.

CytoCare is designed to minimize clinical exposure to hazardous medications because it automates the compounding of hazardous IVs used for chemotherapy and monoclonal antibody therapy, the company added.
