Philips lands 500th installation for CardioMD
After launching the system in 2001, Philips Medical Systems has installed its 500th CardioMD system, a nuclear cardiology gamma camera designed for office-based practice.

Philips touts CardioMD's lightweight design and small footprint, making it suitable to scan and diagnose patients in physician offices. CardioMD incorporates features such as supine and prone patient positioning and 90-degree dual-detector configuration. In addition, Philips said it now offers VantagePro, an attenuation correction (AC) technology, on its CardioMD gamma camera.

Philips showcased the nuclear cardiology gamma camera at the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) meeting, Sept. 30 - Oct. 3, in New York.
