ProMedica Health System has signed a contract with McKesson for its clinical solutions, pharmacy automation and medication distribution services to enhance patient safety, help improve operational efficiencies and reduce healthcare costs.   

The Toledo, Ohio-based health system said that with McKesson’s systems, authorized caregivers will have instant access to the patient’s complete EHR, including all medications, test results, vital signs, and electronic documentation notes along with data from the entire ProMedica application suite.

ProMedica is comprised of ten hospitals and more than 282 sites, employing more than 15,000 employees and serving more than 2.5 million patients annually.
