RealTimeImage wins PACS install
Hillcrest Memorial Hospital, part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System, has selected RealTimeImage Inc.'s iPACS Prism, a web-based picture archiving communication system (PACS).

The sale was made by dealer Centura X-ray of Cleveland, Ohio, RealTimeImage said.

iPACS Prism features archiving, combined with RealTimeImage's Pixels-on-Demand wavelet-based image streaming technology enabling access to diagnostic-quality images over a full range of bandwidths.

Hillcrest will use the technology for remote nighthawk reading in a full range of modalities by Hillcrest radiologists, including David Jacobs, MD, who is based in Israel, said RealTimeImage.

In addition, the technology will be used for specialized image communication throughout the hospital, complementing an existing Siemens Medical Solutions' PACS.

Hillcrest Memorial Hospital is a full-service, nonprofit 327-bed hospital.
