The FDA has approved Medic Vision's SafeCT, which processes and enhances CT images to enable radiation dose reduction.

SafeCT, which was introduced at the 2010 annual scientific meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), enhances images to allow a 50 percent dose reduction, the company claimed. Medic Vision, headquartered in Haifa, Israel, said that SafeCT is compatible with most major CT platforms and PACS.
