Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology on Long Island, N.Y. has completed the first U.S. installation of Siemens’ Mammomat Inspiration full-field digital mammography system.

According to Erlangen, Germany-based Siemens Healthcare, the company’s Mammomat Inspiration performs digital screening for diagnostic mammography and stereotactic biopsy. The installation marks the introduction of the product into the U.S. market and is the first of 13 Mammomat systems to be installed at Zwanger-Pesiri’s nine clinics, Siemens stated.
