Siemens PET/CT imaging technology, the Biograph mCT has been selected by the National Intrepid Center of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury, which opened last week in Bethesda, Md.

The implemented mCT is a large-bore system that enables 10-minute whole-body imaging, TrueV extended field of view and high-definition PET, said the Malvern, Pa.-based company.

The center, which will research, diagnose and treat military personnel and veterans suffering from neurological issues, will utilize the technology to identify areas of the brain affected by traumatic brain injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, stated Siemens.
