SmartPACS completes one project, signs for another
SmartPACS has completed one PACS and RIS installation and is about to embark on another contract.

The SmartPACS system designed for Parkview Adventist incorporates on-line archives for instant access to patient images, SmartPACS' offsite central archive secure data repository service, diagnostic and clinical workstations, a web server, and a wireless network supporting dedicated OR mobile workstation use.

Parkview Adventist's medical imaging department has 55 beds.

The Irvington, N.J.-based company also has booked an order with New York University Downtown Hospital for its SmartPACS' Electronic Image Management Service (EIMS) program.

The system will include SmartPACS PACS archives, workstations and HL-7 integration based upon SmartPACS' software partner Infinitt of Seoul, Korea.

In addition, the system includes additional network backbone equipment, CR systems, CD burning workstations, DICOM laser and paper printers, full enterprise image distribution and full management solutions. The contract is for six years.
