Software AG aligns with Nemours Children's
Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Fla., which is scheduled to open in October, will use Software AG’s webMethods Integration Server and webMethods Business Processing Management Suite to connect standalone communications and IT systems.
Nemours hopes that the Reston,Va.-based company’s products will help to create a “smart building” where patients can customize their experiences and achieve a sense of control despite being in an unfamiliar environment, according to a Feb. 15 statement. Returning patients can expect to be greeted in a room where temperature and lighting has been adjusted to their preferences and where preselected entertainment options are available on an electronic console.
Additionally, the hospital will replace a whiteboard with an electronic display outside each patient’s room, allow clinicians to access patient monitoring systems from a central location and use radio-frequency identification sensors.
