Stony Brook University Hospital chooses Dynamic Imaging's IntegradWeb PACS
Stony Brook University Hospital (SBUH) in Suffolk County, N.Y. will add Dynamic Imaging Inc.'s (Allendale, N.J.) web-driven PACS to its facility.

IntegradWeb will employ server-centric, open architecture will allow SBUH radiologists, referring physicians and other authorized users to access the image archive, databases and toolsets wherever they are located. Functionality can be customized for individual users and user groups.

IntegradWeb features advanced 3D image processing and analysis tools, which are fully integrated into the primary reading environment. The SBUH system will be deployed on EMC Corp.'s Clariion and Centera storage platforms.

As SBUH's PACS partner, Dynamic Imaging helped to found a 3D Visualization Committee under the auspices of the radiology department and Stony Brook University Computer Science Department. The initiative is evaluating a range of 3D visualization concepts for usefulness in navigating large datasets and will help shape Stony Brook's future development and implementation of 3D visualization.
