Susquehanna Health chooses Siemens
Susquehanna Health System of Williamsport, Pa., has awarded Siemens Medical Solutions a contract to provide a range of technology and services for a reinvigoration project at its affiliated hospitals - Muncy Valley Hospital, Divine Providence Hospital, Hepburn Plaza and The Williamsport Hospital & Medical Center.

Susquehanna Health has a total of 282 licensed acute beds and 22 bassinets, as well as 138 long-term care beds in the nursing unit. The alliance admits approximately 14,000 patients annually and performs 16,000 outpatient surgeries each year.

Siemens said that the project will include medical equipment, healthcare IT, unified communications and collaborative solutions, building automation technologies, electrical distribution and control, energy efficiency consulting and power technology services.

The majority of the implementation is expected to be completed by 2012.
