TAMS foresees vascular imaging system installs to reach 100 by '05 end
Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. (TAMS) projects it will have more than 100 worldwide installation sites of its Infinix-i series vascular and cardiac imaging system by the end of the year.

The vascular imaging system features a high-definition cardiac flat-panel detector (FPD) for improved visualization of small details and dose reduction. The Infinix-i series is field-upgradeable to flat-panel detector technology, which enables clinicians to expand the system and take advantage of next-generation technology for superior image quality, TAMS said.

Toshiba's Infinix-i series vascular systems include single-plane, bi-plane and dual-plane configurations.

Toshiba's U.S. installation sites include: UNC Health Care, Chapel Hill, N.C.; Reid Hospital & Health Care Services, Richmond, Ind.; Banner Baywood Medical Center and Heart Hospital, Mesa, Ariz.; and FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, N.C.
