The Freed-Hardeman University nursing program, the Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) and the Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) Lloyd L. Gregory School of Pharmacy have established 1:1 tablet computing initiatives with CDW Government.

Freed-Hardeman University of Henderson, Tenn., is a two-year-old nursing program. MSM of Atlanta, Ga. is dedicated to recruiting and training minority and other student physicians, biomedical scientists and health professionals. PBA of West Palm Beach, Fla., provides its 300 pharmacy students with the technology, training and support they need to succeed professionally, while enabling a hands-on, interactive learning experience, according to CDW Government.

The tablet PCs enable students to capture and manage information and develop IT skills to support careers in medicine, according to the Vernon Hills, Ill.-based CDW Government, which is an IT service provider to governments and educators.
