TomoTherapy scores Swedish install
The TomoTherapy Hi-Art treatment system will be installed at Lund University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden.
While TomoTherapy will be used to treat an array of cancers, the physicians at Lund plan to focus on anal, rectal, cervical, stomach and esophageal cancers. They also will use the Hi-Art system for stereotactic radiosurgery treatments, according to the Madison, Wis.-based company.
Lund plans to install the TomoTherapy Hi-Art system later this year. The Lund University Hospital has approximately 1700 beds and is a regional referral center for southern Sweden.
