Trapeze supports N.H. facility with wireless network
Trapeze Networks has expanded its Trapeze wireless LAN technology to Concord Hospital, a regional medical center in Concord, N.H., to boost mobile wi-fi capabilities for end-to-end quality of service.

According to the Pleasanton, Calif.-based Trapeze, the technology lets Concord Hospital support 3,200 employees, including 750 physicians and nurses throughout Concord Hospital's main campus and 10 remote sites serving more than 145,000 residents.

Wireless VoIP (Voice-over IP) technology provides access to patient information for physicians while guests have access to the Internet through Concord Hospital's web guest application, the company stated. Trapeze Networks Mobility System Software with RingMaster allows Concord Hospital to manage the network from one console, including setting traffic priorities on the wireless network so VoIP wireless transmissions take precedent over other data-driven applications.

Throughout the specification, design and roll-out of the wireless network, Integration Partners, a technology provider in Lexington, Mass., worked with technical teams from Concord Hospital and Trapeze Networks, the company added.
