University Orthopaedic Clinic (UOC), a Atlanta-based sports medicine practice, has selected Neurostar Solutions to provide a Virtual Radiology Network (VRN) in an effort simplify imaging workflow required due to the pratice's rapidly growing patient base.

The key criteria for the decision was to find a software-only product able to interpret, manage and archive orthopaedic images. UOC also selected Neurostar for its pay-as-you-go application service provider (ASP) model that includes offsite hosting, which helps eliminate large upfront expenditures and does not require an in-house IT staff during the conversion to digital imaging workflow, according to a release.
Neurostar's VRN is a complete digital imaging reading, management and archiving product which offers traditional PACS functionality. It is designed for physicians who read medical images to work efficiently across the boundaries of multiple hospitals, imaging centers and physicians offices.
