University of Tennessee selects GE Health IT for perioperative solutions

GE Healthcare IT has signed an agreement with the University of Tennessee Medical Center to implement its Centricity Perioperative Software Solution throughout the medical center that regionally serves Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina.

UT Medical will install Centricity Perioperative version 7.5 across the organization’s 26 operating rooms with the goal of complete documentation and comprehensive revenue cycle management, GE said.

The Centricity solution will additionally support communications, data and workflow within pre-admission testing and throughout the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, including comprehensive resource management, according to the Knoxville-based UT.
