Varian Medical equips Spanish hospital with image-guided radiotherapy
Cancer patients in northern Spain now have access to Varian Medical System’s image-guided radiotherapy treatments with the opening of a new radiotherapy center to serve a population of 600,000 in the Pamplona region.

Hospital General de Navarra, which has begun radiotherapy treatments, is one of the first in the country to install a powerful and versatile Trilogy linear accelerator, according to Palo Alto, Calif.-based Varian Medical.

Along with the Trilogy accelerator, Varian supplied the hospital with two advanced Clinac 21EX accelerators and a full suite of ARIA information management software and Eclipse treatment planning software, the company said.
