Washington mammo center deploys MRS reporting system
Mammography Reporting System (MRS) has deployed its tracking and reporting system at the Carol Milgard Breast Center in Tacoma, Wash.

"MRS plays a very unique roll of sitting between Hologic and McKesson to allow the radiologist one work list, a first-in first-out workflow, and all of the information that a radiologist needs right at their fingertips," said Carol Milgard's program director, Marcy Parsons, RN. "When they select a patient on the MRS work list the images populate on both sides (McKesson and Hologic) they're dictating into the Powerscribe system from within MRS so we've really gone away from a simple tracking system to a full workflow engine."

The facility's goal is to make workflow paperless, including an electronic patient history form called MRS Quest that allows patients to note changes in their information on a digital tablet, which then automatically populates into the MRS system and makes the information available across the facility immediately, according to the Seattle-based MRS.
