Webmedx provides Ky. facility with transcription, data mining
University of Kentucky Healthcare (UK HealthCare) in Lexington, Ky., has signed an agreement for Webmedx’s medical transcription services and QualityAnalytics data mining technology.

Already implemented in two of the three UK HealthCare campuses, Webmedx creates customized queries and mines data from dictated, transcribed reports, according to the Atlanta-based company. At UK HealthCare, ejection fraction results for acute myocardial infarction and congestive heart failure patients will be the first Termed Narradata element to be mined, Webmedx stated.

Physicians can document notes and reports with front-end speech, medical transcriptionist editing with back-end speech or traditional transcription. Webmedx stated the medical transcription technology and services will be phased-in at a third campus in June.
