WellStar Health System selects TippingPoint's intrusion protection
In order to prepare for the April 2005 security compliance deadline for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), WellStar Health System, Georgia's largest non-academic healthcare organization, evaluated several security products before selecting TippingPoint's UnityOne because they considered it was most effective at securing the organization, and required less management.

UnityOne systems are deployed at WellStar Health System on the perimeter as well as internally. On average, TippingPoint's UnityOne blocks approximately 8,700 attacks per week.  In addition to protecting the network, UnityOne also assists with compliance and shows "best business practices" in the event of an audit. Like other healthcare organizations, WellStar Health System is audited to achieve accreditation or to show compliance in various departments with Network security as part of every audit. Prior to TippingPoint, WellStar did as much manually to protect their organization. They set their firewall to block everything and had anti-virus products.
