W.Va. practice installs Philips CT
Philips Healthcare has installed its Ingenuity CT at the Huntington Internal Medicine Group (HIMG) in Huntington, W.Va.

The new Ingenuity 128-slice scanner replaced an existing Philips Brilliance 16-slice scanner.

Along with the scanner purchase, HIMG is educating the community about CT scanning through Philips’ Smart Medical Imaging Less Exposure (SMILE) campaign. The event is designed to teach patients about the process of scanning in an effort to reduce the need for retakes, according to Andover, Mass.-based Philips.
