Zonare deploys seven US systems at Alabama provider
Zonare Medical Systems has installed seven z.one ultrasound systems in three hospitals that make up Baptist Health system, including Baptist Medical Center South, Baptist Medical Center East and Prattville Baptist Hospital.

The seven new z.one systems will be used in both radiology and OB/GYN departments, as well as for training and research. The z.one ultrasound system is a convertible ultrasound platform based on Zone Sonography, the Mountain View, Calif.-based company said. Clinicians are able to convert the z.one system from a cart-based system into a compact ultrasound system.

Baptist Health is a three-hospital, faith-based, non-profit system serving central Alabama. The z.one systems will be used for research including a Magellan Biosciences' venous research study with the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, with which Baptist Health shares a health services affiliation.
