Resident creates radiology mobile app for primary care physicians

Winnie Tsao, MD, a third-year resident in the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Department of Family Medicine in New York, is the developer of Radiology Consult, a mobile app that offers users step-by-step recommendations for the fastest and best diagnostic imaging strategy for 34 common medical conditions.

“In a busy clinic, you don't have time to look through book chapters and indexes to find what you need,” said Tsao in a university press release. “With this, you pull out your iPhone and, in two or three clicks, find out what test you need to order.”
