Bioptics, a Tucson, Ariz.-based developer of digital breast imaging technology, reported it will be moving the majority of its research and development (R&D) activities to Ireland; the firm said it is also opening a sales office in the country for its European, Middle Eastern and African operations.

Bioptics develops and manufactures digital medical x-ray machines. Specifically, it is making machines that allow medical staff to perform mammographies, core biopsies and specimen radiography.
