iCAD and Hitachi ink distribution agreement
iCAD and Hitachi Medical Systems have reached a distribution agreement covering iCad's breast MR image analysis software and Hitachi's MR systems.

According to the agreement, iCAD’s SpectraLook with PrecisionPoint image analysis software for breast MRI will be available for purchase with Hitachi’s Oasis 1.2T and Echelon 1.5T MRI systems.

The addition of iCAD’s technologies will give radiologists more control, accuracy and faster workflow, according to Twinsburg, Ohio-based Hitachi. The technology is also designed to assist radiologists in distinguishing potential cancers in the breast as part of their overall analysis of MRI studies and streamline the planning and performance of MRI-guided percutaneous breast biopsies.

SpectraLook with PrecisionPoint will also be available as an upgrade to current customers, according to Nashua, N.H.-based iCad.
