Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital in West Bloomfield, Mich., has joined U-Systems-sponsored SOMO•INSIGHT Clinical Study, and will begin enrolling patients for a breast cancer screening study using the somo•v Automated Breast Ultrasound System.

The purpose of the study--which is seeking to enroll up to 20,000 women--is to evaluate the sensitivity of mammography and somo•v together compared with mammography alone, as a breast cancer screening method in women with greater than 50 percent breast tissue density, stated the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company.
