Two Chicago rads win 2010 ARRS education grants
Diagnostic imaging and medical IT manufacturer Fujifilm Medical Systems has announced the recipients of the 2010 American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) educational grants.

According to the Stamford, Conn.-based company, which sponsors the awards, the recipients are Sheela D. Konda, MD, PhD, of Northwestern University in Chicago, and Morlie Wang, MD, of Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. Konda is currently pursuing a fellowship in breast and women’s imaging and Wang is a first-year diagnostic radiology resident. Each award is valued at $2,500.

During a special presentation to be held at the scholars and awards session at the ARRS 2010 annual meeting, May 2-7 in San Diego, the recipients will be honored, said Fujifilm.
