Dexela releases new breast imaging workstation
Dexela, a developer of breast imaging technologies, has launched its DexTop breast imaging workstation.

London-based Dexela said its DexTop supports full-field digital mammography (FFDM) workflow, as well as breast tomosynthesis. It employs a 64-bit computing platform and graphics hardware, the company said. DexTop can access the large datasets used in tomosynthesis.

Dexela said its modular, web services-based architecture of the DexTop means that it can be deployed as a central base station in tandem with satellite reading workstations and web based control of radiologists’ work-lists.

The DexTop is CE marked for sale in the European Union and received FDA 510(k) approval in April.
