Franklin & Seidelmann expand final read capabilities
Teleradiology provider Franklin & Seidelmann Subspecialty Radiology showcased an expanded service offering to include final read interpretations for nighttime emergency department setting during the 2008 annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).

The company also showcased AccuRad, its proprietary web-based radiology workflow system that manages the process of creating and distributing radiology reports, and provides clients with online report access.

Clients can view reports and key images online, check the status of the report and can also enable referring physicians to view their patient reports and images, the company said.

Additionally, F&S highlighted the online version of its Lexicon, a proprietary tool that enables its radiologists to systematically and consistently interpret images in a standard language and process that follows the clinical evaluation and typical cascading of pathology required in image interpretation. F&S told Health Imaging News that the lexicon helps to increase radiologists' productivity, speed report turnaround and ensure report consistency across the network.

F&S’ network of radiologists include more than 100 radiologists, who combined are licensed in 50 states, including: board-certified musculoskeletal, oncological, cardiac and breast MR specialists and neuroradiologists with Certificates of Added Qualifications. The also have training in advanced modalities such as 3T and 1.5T MRI, MDCT and PET/CT, the company said.
