23 November 2022: Ascelia Pharma AB (publ) – a biopharmaceutical company focused on improving the life of people living with rare cancer conditions –  is presenting results from its Orviglance* Food Effect study at the RSNA conference 2022 (Radiological Society of North America – 27 November – 1 December Chicago, Illinois). The study evaluates the effect of food intake on the absorption and signal intensity of Orviglance, a manganese-based MRI contrast agent, and successfully concludes that image enhancement is not impacted by a light meal.

Industry analyst firm NanoMarkets today announced the launch of its newest report of the radiation detection market.  The report titled “Markets for Radiation Detection Equipment” predicts that the radiation detector is projected to grow from $25 billion (USD) in 2013 to $33 billion in 2020.  Despite the gloomy forecasts for the world’s economic engines, most of the markets that employ radiation detection equipment are experiencing and will experience growth above that projected in the macro forecasts.

The IT and medical technology company Sectra reported order bookings of SEK 350.0 million (188.2) for the fourth quarter of the 2012/2013 fiscal year. This corresponds to a year-on-year increase of 86%. The American Society of Radiologic Technologists will donate $10,000 to the American Red Cross to assist with disaster relief efforts in central Oklahoma following tornadoes there May 19 and 20. The donation is on behalf of the ASRT’s 151,000 members.
